Online Training for Counsellors
Our training is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who are planning to add online counselling to their practice. The training is conducted entirely online so it doesn’t matter where you live. If you have a reliable computer and internet connection, you can join one of our online student groups and learn via email and attend live discussion meetings via our campus website. Our Certificate and Diploma Courses are validated by CPCAB, the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awards Body.
To find out more about our training courses check out the web pages for the individual course. We offer several workshops and short courses, too (find out more on their web pages).
We believe that first-hand experience adds a vital element to our courses and all our tutors are online practitioners themselves.
I’m genuinely delighted to have the opportunity to work with you all in the future and becoming a Director of OLT is a huge and exciting opportunity.
Director & Tutor
I have been part of the OLT Team as a tutor since 2011 having successfully gained my General Certificate & Diploma in Online Counselling and also Supervision. It’s fair to say I’m passionate about online counselling & supervision and have a will to see it developed within an ethical framework.
I’m genuinely delighted to have the opportunity to work with you all in the future and becoming a Director of OLT is a huge and exciting opportunity. My focus will be marketing & media although for now Liane, Maria and I will be moving between roles as needed. It feels important to ensure OLT continues to run smoothly and meets the needs of the online counselling world. I will continue to tutor; it’s a learning experience for me every time. I love “light bulb” moments and the new and creative ideas the students bring to the work. It is ever-changing.
In addition to OLT I have a small private practice and continue to volunteer for Relationships Scotland. I also hold roles in both ACTO & OCTIA Ltd being part of their online committees. Closer to home I ensure the Scottish Association for Psychodynamic Counselling has a strong online profile. When not working I can be found with family or friends, on my bike (which involves eating a lot of cake) or crocheting in my caravan. Please get in touch if you have questions, ideas or want to chat something through. It’s an exciting time and we are in it together.
